I joined Mount St. Mary's School in first grade; spent a splendid twelve years there. MSM organised a host of events which helped mould me into the person I am today. I was president of the computer club and webmaster of the official website. When I was not in the Computer Lab, I used to jam with my friends in the Music Room.
After graduating from school, I knew I had to pursue Computer Science. I decided to pursue a B.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Delhi. Our college was the first in the university to attempt to build a cluster; I was a research assistant who helped establish a 4-node Pentium II cluster. Another project I undertook was to simplify Drupal for professors to be able to manage our college portal and intranet.
I started maintaining a blog when I was in high school. When I decided to shift my blog to a top-level domain name, what I wrote did not focus upon anything specific. The content there was as random as a variable 'x' attached to a function that does the job of a pseudo random number generator. That was reason enough for me to start calling my blog xAbhishek. I had to choose a domain name, and xAbhishek.com was available! I then started using this handle online because it was conveniently available on other services I signed up for. Twitter and IRC channels are two places I frequent where I use the same handle.
Having used this name for so long, now some people prefer to call me xAbhishek even outside the virtual world.
